We are united in Christ's death and united in His resurrection. By His death on the cross and His resurrection, we have been given birth to a living hope (1 Peter 1:3). We have an inheritance that cannot fade, perish, or be destroyed (1 Peter 1:4). God is our refuge and strength, our ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We have this hope in the resurrected Christ, which is an anchor for our souls, firm and secure (Hebrews 6:19). By the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony, we overcome the evil one (Revelation 12:11).

Our hope is a living hope that no hostile forces, no harm, no vile evil schemes of the evil one can take away from us (Romans 8:38-39). As we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), we have a hopeful expectation that grows and gathers in strength. Though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16).

For we are citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20), and our Father is holding for us in heaven the gift of eternal life, which Christ our Lord won on the cross for us believers in Christ (Romans 6:23).

We pray to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ to help us in our weaknesses; in the power of the Holy Spirit, to stand firm against all the devil’s evil schemes, putting on the full armor of God to evade every deceitful scheme and lie of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
