Putting your complete trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the Son of God, means believing everything He said and accepting His Word as true. This includes abiding in His Word, being His disciple, and knowing the truth that will set us free.
Trusting in Jesus means having confidence in Him, having an assurance that leads to action. It means trusting in the Lord with all your heart and not leaning on your own understanding.
Trusting in Jesus also means putting Him first at the center of our lives, which brings about a peaceful rest in our minds and souls. It means having a personal and profound relationship with the heavenly Father, taking delight in His promises, and becoming children of God.
God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins so that we can be connected to Him forever as His redeemed children for eternity. By believing in His Son and trusting in Him, we have eternal life and become citizens of heaven. God's work, which He has given us to do on earth, is to believe in the Son He sent from heaven to be a sin offering for humankind.
As believers in Christ, we are rescued from the devil's pawnshop into the kingdom of light of the Son. We become light and salt in a sinful, fallen world. As citizens of heaven, in our sojourn through this temporary place called earth, we should always let our light shine each day brightly so that all can see our good deeds done out of the love of God in our hearts and give glory to the Father of our Lord Jesus who sits on the eternal throne as the only true God forever.
