"God is love, and Love is God (1 John 4:8). When we love others, God is in us, and He manifests His power in us (1 John 4:12). Our Savior and Lord gave us a command to love one another as He has loved us unconditionally and selflessly (John 13:34).

The love that God has for each one of us mortals, created in His own image (Genesis 1:27), is that agape love, which is a Greek word meaning selfless love (1 Corinthians 13:4-7), not Eros love (romantic love) or Philia (friendly love), which are based on conditions. God's love for us is agape love, in which He directs an overflow of empathy and compassion towards us mortals, and He does not expect anything in return (Romans 5:8). Agape love is what God commands us to do for others.

God has proved His unconditional love for us in that God gave up His only begotten Son, whom He loves, to die on the cross for our sins and transgressions so that each one of us mortals is reconnected back to God, washed clean by the blood of His Son so that we can grow in an intimate, close relationship with God (John 3:16). The gift of salvation, which Christ won for us on the cross (Ephesians 2:8-9), is available to every mortal on the face of the earth.

Christ died on the cross for us while we were sinners, rebellious against His just commands in our minds, to prove His unconditional love for us (Romans 5:8). All God wants from us is to repent of our sins (Acts 3:19), return to Him, put our faith in His Son (John 14:6). All our past, present, and future sins are forgiven (1 John 1:9).

Let us not delay in obeying His two greatest commandments: to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, minds, souls, and strength (Mark 12:30) and to love others with the agape love that He has shown to us (Matthew 22:39). God is not slow as some understand slowness, for God is infinitely patient with each one of us (2 Peter 3:9). As the word says, 'He does not want the wicked to perish in their sins but for every one of us to repent of our sins, make Him our refuge, and make peace with Him' (2 Corinthians 5:20).

God has provided a way for us sinners to be reconciled back to Him and have a close personal relationship with Him through the death of His Son on the cross (Romans 5:10). Let us not delay in accepting His gift of grace to us sinners (Ephesians 2:8) and let us put our faith in His Son and be saved from the coming wrath that would fall upon the wicked unrepentant sinners (1 Thessalonians 1:10)."
