Thank you, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, that Your word is living, enduring, and eternal, a word that can never fade away but endures forever (1 Peter 1:23-25). Though the heavens will vanish like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a garment, Your word will stand firm forever (Isaiah 51:6).
We pray that Your word would be a lamp for our feet and a light for our path (Psalm 119:105), guiding every step we take in our journey of faith as we navigate this fallen and sinful world.
Help us to put our hope in Your unfailing word, which is our assurance and the promise of the glories to come. Your word is our eternal "insurance policy," guaranteeing the inheritance that awaits us in heaven when our Lord Jesus Christ comes again—not to bear sin but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him (Hebrews 9:28).
Thank You for not leaving us as orphans in this world. Though the journey may be long and filled with grief, pain, and sorrow, You have given us Your Holy Spirit as our Helper, Encourager, Comforter, Consoler, and Intercessor (John 14:16-18). He is the seal of our salvation and the guarantee of the inheritance to come (Ephesians 1:13-14).
Thank You for Your boundless grace and unending mercy, which sustain us each day. Lead us on the path of Your light, and help us overcome the evil one, who prowls like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).
Strengthen us to be alert and sober, to recognize and resist the enemy's deceitful schemes. Equip us with Your full armor: the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the belt of truth, the sword of the Spirit, which is Your living word, and the shoes of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:10-18). Help us to stand firm and walk steadfastly in faith.
Give us the strength to persevere, knowing that though we may suffer grief in various trials for a short time, these trials are not strange but are shared by the family of believers around the world (1 Peter 5:9; 1 Peter 1:6-7).
Your will is that we persevere so that You may restore us, make us strong, firm, and steadfast (1 Peter 5:10).Lord, help us to wait patiently for Your return, standing firmly on Your word, with the confidence that You are coming soon (Revelation 22:12). Amen.
