"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." 1. john 4:18
John is saying that because of God's agape love for us, we should not fear or be afraid because he unconditionally loved us by sending his son as sin's offering to redeem us from our sinful nature.
We worry because of God's judgment to come on the ungodly and unrepentant sinners. As believers in Christ, we have been justified in the name of Jesus and by the power of God's holy spirit in us.
We should not fear because of God's promises to us. "Do no fear, for I am with you: do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, and I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness. I will help you". Isaiah 41.10.
Isaiah gave us these five reasons not to fear in any situation or fear any mortals or what the enemy can do to us.
Jesus Christ also commanded us to fear God alone "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10.28
