"In life, patience is not only necessary but also very important to receive the abundance of God’s blessings and favors which He desires to lavish on us, His dearly loved and affectionately cared-for chosen children who believe in Christ as their Lord and Savior. Patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit which God has given to believers in Christ.
As written in the Scriptures, we are called to put our hope in every word that proceeds from the mouth of God and wait patiently, as watchmen wait for the dawn. We are called to be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently until He acts.
Patient endurance is the key to overcoming the evil one and all of life’s difficulties, barriers, problems, and obstacles. As it is written, 'Rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us' (Romans 5:3-5).
Therefore, we pray for patience and endurance in all our times of trouble, being content and joyful whether we are full or hungry, abased or abound, knowing that in Christ Jesus we can do all things through Him who strengthens us (Philippians 4:12-13)."
