"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” — Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV)
True peace, safety, and security cannot be found in the things of this world—not in possessions, jobs, businesses, or the opinions of others. In this fallen world, unexpected trials can arise at any moment, stealing our peace and joy. We may lose loved ones, face sickness, or witness those we cherish suffer. But in all of life’s uncertainties, there is only one true refuge—God, who walks beside us through every storm (Isaiah 41:10, Deuteronomy 31:8).
One day, in heaven, there will be no more pain, suffering, or sorrow. The former things will have passed away forever (Revelation 21:4). We will be reunited with our redeemed loved ones, never again to suffer loss or death. We will sit before God's throne, praising and serving Him for eternity (Revelation 7:15-17), dwelling in the place that our Lord and Savior has gone to prepare for us (John 14:2-3).
Do not trust in the fleeting security of this world. Surrender your heart fully to the One who holds eternity in His hands. If you are righteous, take heart—"Tell the righteous it shall be well with them" (Isaiah 3:10). But those who reject God will face judgment, humbled by the sword, plague, and famine (Isaiah 3:11, Ezekiel 7:15).
Now is the time to seek God's presence, walk in His ways, and find the only true peace that lasts forever. Turn to Him today!
