We always have God’s protection. He is our shepherd, and in Him, we lack nothing. He is our strength, refuge, and helper in times of trouble. So we set Him before us at all times, and with Him at our right hand, we will never be shaken.

We are under God’s protection always. He holds us in His everlasting arms, and His everlasting arms are raised to help us as His children. Jesus commanded us to abide in Him and let His word abide in us so we can produce and multiply the fruit of the Spirit. For apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:4-5).

God holds the whole world in His hands. He founded the earth on the waters and established it on the seas (Psalm 24:1-2). All the earth is like dust on His weighing scales, and all the nations and rulers of the world are less than nothing; all mortals are like breath, and their glory is like the grass that withers as the wind blows on it (Isaiah 40:15, 17; Psalm 103:15-16). Yet, while we are less than angels, He crowns us with His love and glory (Psalm 8:5).

God is our El-Shaddai. The first part of God’s name means power, and the second part is a metaphor meaning that God to us is like a nursing mother caring for her child.

At various times, God is our power and strength, and at other times, God carries us in His hands. When we are overwhelmed by our troubles and the trials of this life, He is like a nursing mother to us as he holds us in His bosom and feeds and cares for us each day.

As it is written, "like a baby being weaned at its mother’s arms. I quiet myself in His arms, and like a little child, I am content" (Psalm 131:2).
