Through our faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord, we have been made perfect in love, for God is love, and Jesus Christ is love. Fear has to do with punishment, and all who fear have not been made perfect in love (1 John 4:18). Thank you, Father, of our Lord Jesus Christ, that your love has cast out all our fears, and we have been made perfect in love. Love is the unlikely antidote to fear. God's love has cast out all our fears so we can love God and others as God loves us and gave His life so that we may have eternal life as we put our faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives in us. May we dwell in Christ, and may His words dwell in us now and forever (Colossians 3:16).
The mystery, which has been kept hidden for ages, has now been revealed to us through faith in Christ—that Christ, the hope of glory, is alive in us (Colossians 1:26-27). Christ’s word confirms to us, "I am the vine, you are the branches. Apart from me, you can do nothing" (John 15:5). Live in me as I live in my Father, and I am one with my Father. If you live in me and my words live in you, the Father, who loves me because I live in Him and obey Him, will also live in you. My Father and I will come and live with you and dine with you (John 14:23). Then my joy will be in you, and your joy will be complete (John 15:11).
No one can snatch you from my hand, and no one can snatch you from my Father's hand, for He is greater than all (John 10:28-29). I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you (Luke 10:19). He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). So be still, for I am the God of Jacob, your fortress (Psalm 46:10-11). Be still and know that I am God. Be still and see the victory that comes from my powerful outstretched hand, fighting your battles for you (Exodus 14:14). Be still, for my name will be exalted among the nations (Psalm 46:10). Be still in the presence of the Lord.
The Lord is fighting your battles for you; all you must do is be still. God's glory covers the face of the earth (Habakkuk 2:14). He has set His glory in the heavens, and His splendor covers the earth (Psalm 8:1; Habakkuk 3:3).
