The Bible teaches us in Psalm 118:8-9, "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes." People may let us down, but God's love never fails.

We find a firm foundation so we cannot be shaken when we hope in Christ. The hymn says, "In Christ alone, my hope is found; He is my light, my strength, my song; This cornerstone, this solid ground, Firm through the fiercest drought and storm."

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). He promises to give us peace and eternal life through the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:6). We can pray, sing, and do all things through the Holy Spirit's power.

We can find strength and endurance in God when we face trials and difficulties. James 1:2-4 reminds us that testing our faith produces perseverance, which leads to maturity and completeness. We can trust that God will deliver us from all our afflictions (Psalm 34:19).

So, we should be encouraged today. Place your trust in God's might and power to deliver and save. Regardless of your circumstances, remember that God is good and in control of all things. He will make a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19).

Let us remain confident, strong, and courageous, knowing that the blood of Jesus covers us and that He is our protector and refuge. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge" (Psalm 18:2).
