In Christ alone, our hope is found. Here is a hope that is living, safe, secure, and steadfast, even amidst the fiercest storms and the harshest droughts of life. We lift our hearts in thanksgiving to the Father of our Lord, who, in His infinite mercy, has given us this living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, from the dead. Now seated at the right hand of God in full glory, He patiently waits for all His enemies to be made a footstool for His feet, as promised by our heavenly Father.

Hope that is already received is no hope at all. We hope for that which we have not yet received, holding fast with the full confidence that we shall indeed receive what we hope for. Our hope is anchored in the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, in the full glory of the Father of heavenly lights and the God of mercy. On that day, the trumpets shall sound, and the faithful shall rise, gathered unto Him in the sky, to be taken to our heavenly home, prepared for all believers in Christ.

We hope that when He comes again, our perishable bodies will be made imperishable, and our mortal bodies will be clothed with immortality. In that glorious moment, we will be fully sanctified and made perfect, reflecting the very image of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Oh, what a blessed hope this is! It is a hope that sustains us, an anchor for our souls, firm and secure. It is a hope that lifts our eyes heavenward, away from the troubles of this world, to the glorious promise of eternal life with our Savior. Let us, therefore, hold unswervingly to this hope, for He who promised is faithful. Amen.
