We have the power to take every thought captive and lead it in obedience to Christ, our Lord, who lives in us. As written in Scripture, “God has given us, believers who put our faith in Christ, the power to tread on lions and cobras, to overcome the power of the evil one, and He has promised that no harm will come against His chosen children who walk in obedience to His will and commands" (Psalm 91:13-15, Luke 10:19).
We have also been given spiritual weapons to fight the daily spiritual battles we face as children of God. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil and darkness in this world (Ephesians 6:12).The battlefield of this spiritual war is in our minds, so it is crucial to guard our thoughts. The thoughts and decisions we make in our minds determine whether we are victorious or defeated in our battle against the enemies of God.
As it is written, we have been given the power and spiritual weapons to bring down every stronghold of the devil and to capture every thought, making it obedient to Christ, our Lord, who lives in us through His Holy Spirit, our companion and strength (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).
By reading and meditating on the Word of God each day, and by praying unceasingly, we can align every thought with God’s Word. We have been given the power to replace all negative thoughts with those that are pure, noble, excellent, praiseworthy, and good (Philippians 4:8).
Stand firmly each day on God’s Word, believing that there are countless reasons to trust in Him. "All things are possible for the one who believes" (Mark 9:23). Stand firm in the truth of God’s Word, waiting patiently for the Lord as you take steps of faith each day, trusting in Him.
