In all situations, troubles, and challenges, and when we do not understand and things seem overwhelming, we should continue to pray and draw closer to our Lord, an ever-present helper at our right side in our times of trouble. In Him, we have a good shepherd, and we lack nothing (Psalm 23:1).

As believers in Christ Jesus, we should continue in prayer and pray unceasingly, learning from the example of Elijah who prayed to God for rain after several years of famine in the land. Seven times he prayed and continued to be persistent in prayer, sending his servant to look out for rain until rain appeared in the sky as a small fist-sized cloud, and he continued in prayer until it became a mighty downpour (1 Kings 18:41-45).

Our Savior Jesus Christ also gave us the example of the persistent widow who pleaded with the ungodly judge and refused to leave until she wore him out with her pleading for her rights to be upheld. Eventually, he gave her justice (Luke 18:1-8).

We should remain persistent in prayers, rejoicing in our afflictions and troubles, praying unceasingly, and thanking God in all our circumstances, believing and trusting God at His word that if we seek Him wholeheartedly, we will find Him. For all those who seek shall find, all those who knock, the door shall be opened, and all those who ask shall receive (Matthew 7:7-8).

God is faithful to fulfill all His promises, and His word shall never come back to Him empty (Isaiah 55:11). Believe in the Son whom He sent as atonement for our sins, and ask for anything in His name, and you shall receive (John 14:13-14).
