Ponder in your heart and reflect on all you have heard from the Word of Christ—the signs and wonders of God concerning His Son, and the gift of the Holy Spirit that God has given to us through faith in Jesus Christ.

An African proverb says, "Fool me once, it is your fault; fool me twice, it is my fault." In the same way, we should carefully consider all the facts and information about ourselves and others, basing our self-worth solely on the Word of God. The Bible declares that we are precious in His sight (Isaiah 43:4).

He knew us before He formed us in our mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5). We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and all His works are marvellous; we know this very well.

The most important relationship we have is with God, our Maker, and each day we should place Him above all other relationships in our lives. The second most important relationship is with ourselves—how we see ourselves and understand our self-worth.

Evidence of low self-worth is seen when we fear others’ opinions and seek to please people out of fear of rejection or disapproval. As Paul said, "If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ" (Galatians 1:10).

God has spoken: He declares, "You are precious in My sight" (Isaiah 43:4). He has provided undeniable proof of His unconditional love by sending His Son to die on the cross for our sins (John 3:16). Christ also demonstrated His love for us through obedience to the Father’s will and resisting the devil, even to the point of shedding His blood on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins (Hebrews 12:2-4).

Therefore, there is no reason to doubt, have low self-esteem, or seek to please people anymore. God speaks through His Word, dreams, and visions: "You are of value and worthy in My sight, and I will strengthen you with all My power and might" (Isaiah 41:10). Believe in who God says you are today, and let your faith take hold of His hand as He leads you along life’s road of grief, pain, and trouble—to a joyful end in heaven.

Be confident of this: "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6). Always remember God’s Word: "The Lord is coming soon. Stand firm in the Lord, brothers and sisters, for His coming is near" (Philippians 4:5, James 5:8).
