“Seek the Lord wholeheartedly, and you shall find Him. Draw closer to Me every day, and I shall draw closer to you” (James 4:8). “In returning to Me like the prodigal son, repenting of your sins, and resting in Me, you are saved” (Luke 15:11-32; Isaiah 30:15).
Jesus is Lord and has conquered the world on our behalf, so take heart, rejoice, and stand firmly in faith today, in the present moment (John 16:33). The accuser of our brothers and sisters has been hurled down from heaven (Revelation 12:10). The prince of the air holds the world in bondage to sin and darkness. Still, they overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the power of their testimony (Revelation 12:11-12).
Brothers and sisters, the day of the Lord is coming near—stand firmly in faith (1 Thessalonians 5:2-4).“Lean not on your understanding, but submit to God in all your ways, and He will guide you in the right way” (Proverbs 3:5-6). “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord (Isaiah 55:8).
Like little children, teach us Your ways and give us an understanding of Your precepts that are more valuable than all the riches of this evil and wicked world, and sweeter than honey (Psalm 119:103, 127). By Your word, Your servant is warned, and in keeping Your word, there is great reward (Psalm 19:11).
Forgive us our hidden faults and let not willful sins rule over us (Psalm 19:12-13). Help us to be covered by Your grace and walk in Your light as we pray daily that “the meditation of our hearts and the words that proceed from our mouths be pleasing in Your sight” (Psalm 19:14).
“You watch over us with loving eyes from above, guiding and directing our steps. Help us not to be like a stubborn mule that has to be controlled with a bit and bridle before we repent of our sins and submit to You” (Psalm 32:8-9). Guide us against pride, unbelief, selfishness, and self-focus. Rather, help us to focus on You, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that the Holy Spirit of truth helps us in our weaknesses, for Your grace is always sufficient, and Your power is perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
“We are saved by grace, so no mortal can boast before You” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Help us to humble ourselves under Your mighty hand, to endure patiently the pain, grief, and affliction for a little while, knowing that in Your perfect timing, You will redeem us to Yourself and make us stand firm, secure, and steadfast in heart and obedient in spirit (1 Peter 5:6, 10). Help us to have confidence in Your promises, which can never fail or pass away, for “every promise of God is yes and amen in Christ Jesus” (2 Corinthians 1:20).
Help us be like Abraham, he believed in God when he promised him that he would be the father of many nations and that through his son Isaac, all the nations shall be blessed. He did not waver through doubt or unbelief regarding God's promises. He believed that God could raise the dead to life when God asked him to sacrifice his son. Abraham believed that God’s word would accomplish the purpose and aim of the Lord (Romans 4:20-22; Isaiah 55:11).
