What needless sorrow and pain we put ourselves through when we do not fully put our complete trust in You, O Lord God Almighty. What unnecessary burdens and hardship we place on ourselves when, with hardened hearts, and rebellious and disobedient spirits, we listen to the voice of the enemy and engage in conversations with him like Eve in the Garden of Eden. We fail to focus our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls on You and on Your written word, given to us to provide encouragement in our daily walk of faith and to teach us perseverance, patience, and steadfastness in faith, relying on Your unfailing word and promises (James 1:2-4).

Our Lord and Savior, Yeshua HaMashiach (Adonai who saves, salvation), our light, salvation, strength, redeemer, and God, who has already paid the heavy price for the redemption of our sins and won the victory on the cross for our sins, help us to believe in You and place our hope in You alone as our Savior.

By believing in Him, we know that we have eternal life (John 3:16), yet even though we are saved, we still allow the enemy to deceive us and believe his lies that we are not worthy in the eyes of our God, burdened with guilt in our hearts and unbelief. Help us not to be spiritually immature or give in to doubt and unbelief (Hebrews 3:12).

We often fail to hear and listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit; we are petulant and hard-hearted, refusing to listen to the still voice of our Savior pleading with us to come to our senses, like the prodigal son who returned to his father’s house (Luke 15:11-32).

We still do not fully repent of our sins and return to our dear and heavenly Father, who is in heaven with wide-open arms, waiting patiently for us to look to Him and put our complete trust in Him. We do not rest in Him, be still, and find peace, joy, renewal, and salvation in Him alone (Psalm 46:10).

Help us not to trust in mortals or human beings, not even in ourselves, but to place our hope in You alone as our Creator, Redeemer, Defender, Protector, and Salvation (Psalm 118:8-9).

We pray that we trust and obey with willing and obedient hearts, leaning on You and believing in Your great love for us and Your great faithfulness toward the sons of men, who are a little lower than the angels but whom You crown with Your love and honor (Psalm 8:4-5). Help us, as oaks of righteousness, to live our lives in a way that honors You (Isaiah 61:3).
