As believers in Christ, we can receive salvation through faith in Him alone. This involves confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9-10).

Jesus promised His disciples the gift of the Holy Spirit, who would empower them to spread the gospel message throughout the world. He said, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8).

The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth and reveals future things to us. Jesus said, "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come" (John 16:13).The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and points us to the righteous one who sits at the right hand of God. Jesus said, "When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment" (John 16:8).

Jesus promised to give living water to all who believe in Him, which would be like streams of living water flowing from within them to eternal life. He said, "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them" (John 7:38).

As children of God saved by our faith in Christ, we have the Holy Spirit as our helper to guide us and lead us in an everlasting way. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us in prayer when we do not know what to pray for or how to pray. The apostle Paul wrote, "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans" (Romans 8:26).

We can trust that God will provide us with His Holy Spirit if we ask Him, as Jesus said, "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" (Luke 11:13).
