We, as mortals, only know partially on this side of the River Jordan. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:12 (NIV), 'For now, we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.' We would never know fully until we cross the River Jordan to the other side.

There are times and seasons that change but are in the hands of our heavenly Father, who holds times and seasons in His hand, just as it is proclaimed in Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV), 'There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.' He holds the whole world and tomorrow in His hands, as emphasized in Psalm 95:4 (NIV), 'In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.'

When the light of our Lord shines on us while we sleep on the day of the coming of the Lord, we would each, with our own eyes and not by any other, see the Lord fully as He is. As promised in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (NIV), 'For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.'

All who believe in Him and sleep in Him arise from the dust, are gathered up in the clouds into His presence. As the Lord wraps us up in His glory and takes us to our eternal home, we eagerly await the fulfillment of 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 (NIV): 'Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.'

In His presence, we would then be able to ask and have full answers to many of our unanswered questions. For them, we would know fully as we are fully known."
