No matter our feelings or emotions that are going through our minds at any present moment, your word is true, eternal, unchanging—a hammer that breaks rocks into pieces; a consuming fire that purifies the hearts of believers of all impurities: breaking into pieces the lies, deceit of the deceiver, thief, and destroyer.

You have commanded us to be still in your presence and know that you are the Lord God Almighty; there is no other God than you. You alone are God and deserve to be worshipped, adored, highly lifted, and exalted above all the heavens and the earth.

The Lord of Jacob is always with us at our right hand; he is our fortress, a safe and secure place of refuge, our strength, and ever-present helper who is always at our side and never leaves our side as he walks alongside us and takes us along the thorny paths of this life's journey, bringing us to a joyful end in our eternal home in heaven.

Your glory covers all the face of the earth, and the heavens display your splendor. To you alone belongs all the glory, praise, adoration, power, strength, and everlasting kingdom. You alone are God, and all other gods are the works of men; gods who cannot see, hear, or feed themselves, the works of craftsmen. They bow down and worship gods that are less than nothing, gods that are vile, and all those who worship such gods make themselves vile and despicable as the gods they worship.

We worship, revere, in awe of the living God, the father of our Lord Jesus, who in his great unfailing love, mercy, and grace sent his son to die on the cross for us sinners so that we can spend eternity living in your presence, worshipping you, and glorifying you.

  • Psalm 46:10 - "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
  • Psalm 16:8 - "I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken."
  • Isaiah 44:9-10 - "All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless. Those who would speak up for them are blind; they are ignorant, to their own shame. Who shapes a god and casts an idol, which can profit nothing?"
  • Jeremiah 10:14-15 - "Everyone is senseless and without knowledge; every goldsmith is shamed by his idols. The images he makes are a fraud; they have no breath in them. They are worthless, the objects of mockery; when their judgment comes, they will perish."
