Jesus is alive, and He is Lord of all. Satan and the world are fighting a losing battle; Satan has already been defeated (Revelation 12:9-10). All our past transgressions have been nailed to the cross, and we are saved by grace—not by our knowledge, power, self-righteousness, or good works (Ephesians 2:8-9). The salvation of our souls is the work of Christ alone. Therefore, each day, we should come into His presence with gladness of heart and fullness of joy (Psalm 100:2).

Let our hearts rejoice in Him, even in our afflictions and troubles, trusting that “many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19). We are confident in the unlimited power of our God, in His unconditional, unfailing love and goodness, now and forever, as we have been raised to new life with Christ (Colossians 3:1-2). We keep our focus on Christ, our Lord, who sits at the Father's right hand in glory, waiting for His enemies to be made a footstool for His feet (Hebrews 1:3, 13).

Christ is alive forever, and "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord" on His day of return, when all shall stand before His throne of mercy, awaiting judgment for their actions and conduct in the flesh while on earth (Philippians 2:10-11; 2 Corinthians 5:10). There is a great need for spirit of perseverance, persistence and focus on Christ, as we  point others to his light , glory and his word; placing our trust in God—despite the lack of faith, increasing lawlessness, selfishness, and disobedience toward Christ’s Spirit-filled words, which give us insight into living a life that glorifies and honours God.

As believers in Christ, our faith's ultimate goal is to enjoy His presence each day (Psalm 16:11), and to live a life that reflects the Lamb of God, the Saviour of the world, and our only light in the midst of darkness (John 1:4-5). In these times of distress, as love grows cold and many turn away in disobedience and pride, we remain steadfast in faith, for He alone is our hope (Matthew 24:12-13; Hebrews 12:2).
