As believers in Christ, we are made more than conquerors and victorious over the wickedness of this evil world through His sacrifice. By shedding His blood on the cross, Jesus redeemed us from sin, a sinful nature we inherited from Adam, the first man (Romans 5:12).
Jesus, our Lord, also encouraged His disciples by saying, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me" (John 14:1). He reminded us that although the world may seem unjust and full of troubles, He has overcome the world on our behalf (John 16:33). As children of God, we have been rescued from the power of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of light, the kingdom of His Son, for the praise of our Heavenly Father's glory (Colossians 1:13-14).
Let us, as believers, hold firmly to the faith we profess and stand steadfast on the Word of God. Let us trust completely in God's promises, which never fail (Isaiah 55:11). With the fortifying power of the Holy Spirit, may we submit to God, taking up our cross daily with humble and gentle hearts, following the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ (Luke 9:23; Matthew 11:29).
Through the trials and thorny paths of life, let us focus our thoughts and minds on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Let us live our lives in Him, who died for us, to save us from our sinful nature and grant us eternal life (John 3:16).
Lord, help us to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), remembering that "it is not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit," says the Lord Almighty (Zechariah 4:6).
