"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith." (1 Peter 5:8–9)

The battle is for your future. Satan fears your destiny and what is written about you in the Book of Life. As it is written: "God has predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will." (Ephesians 1:5)

The same anointing that is upon Christ, our Lord, is upon us as God's chosen people. We are a holy nation, rescued from the power of darkness and brought into God's kingdom of light to proclaim His glory. (1 Peter 2:9, Colossians 1:13)

Satan feared Christ’s destiny as the Savior of the world. He used every means in the wilderness to derail Jesus' mission—twisting Scripture to deceive Him and attacking His faith. Yet Jesus stood firm, declaring: "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4)

The devil, the father of lies (John 8:44), will attack us too. He seeks to derail our destiny, make us doubt God, and disobey His commands to love Him wholeheartedly and to love others as ourselves (Matthew 22:37–39). However, we must follow Jesus' example: walking in faith, putting His words into practice, and remaining steadfast in obedience.

Jesus said: "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:31–32) God's will is for us to be conformed to the likeness of His Son (Romans 8:29). He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).

Our Lord Jesus submitted to God with humility, resisted the devil, and stood firmly on God’s Word. As James reminds us: "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7)

In Christ, we have already won the victory through His death on the cross. His Spirit helps us in our weaknesses, enabling us to cry out, "Abba, Father." (Romans 8:15) We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. (Revelation 12:11)

As believers, let us walk as obedient children, holding tightly to God's hand. His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) His Word will never return to Him empty; it will accomplish what He desires. (Isaiah 55:11)

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. (John 14:6) Every inch of the universe and every moment of time belongs to God, the Sovereign Creator. Though the enemy holds unbelievers in darkness, God’s power within believers—the same power that raised Christ from the dead—enables us to overcome. (Ephesians 1:19–20)

Let us stand strong in faith, putting on the full armour of God, so we can resist the devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:10–11) With God's strength, we are more than conquerors through Christ. (Romans 8:37)

As it is written: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me." (John 14:1) Jesus reminds us: "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

We pray that the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ will give us new hearts and steadfast spirits to submit to Him in all our ways. May we trust Him completely and allow the Holy Spirit—our Helper, Comforter, and Advocate—to guide us in God’s purposes, so our lives bring glory to His name. (Proverbs 3:5–6, John 14:16)

Each day, be prepared for battle, standing firm in faith. In Christ, we are victorious. May God’s strength help us prevail, and may His peace guard our hearts and minds as we trust in Him. Amen.
